Cividale del Friuli is a town and comune in the Province of Udine, part of the North-Italian Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The town lies in the foothills of the eastern Alps, 15 kilometres by rail from the city of Udine and close to the Slovenian border. It is situated on the river Natisone, which forms a picturesque ravine here. It is todays a small but lively town that attracts tourists thanks to its medieval center, since it is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you wil find history, art, beautiful landscapes and a multitude of languages, cultures and traditions. It is the most important town in Friuli’s Colli Orientali, known the world over for its wonderful wines. After the destruction of Aquileia in 452 AD, the ancient "Forum Iulii" became the chief town of the district of Friuli and gave its name to it.
How to reach us
By car
From the highway Udine-Cividale (viale Libertà ), go straight on to Railway station, at the traffic light turn left in Viale Foramitti, then go on to the end of the street and turn left in viale Gemona. On the left you can find Civiform.
By train
There is a specific train service called "littorina veloce" that connect Cividale to Udine (every 60min.). The railway station is just a few metres away from Civiform.
By bus
The bus station is very close to Civiform too. The town of Cividale is connected to Udine, Gorizia, Trieste and many other Friuli towns such as Gemona del Friuli or Tarcento. A timetable of SAF Autoservizi is available online
Trieste/Opicina
Since 2016 in the Civiform family
Civiform is located in Opicina, a hamlet of the nearby Trieste. This area is a border country, with the Adriatic Sea on one side and a stark karst promontory (called the Karst) on the other. The land is characterised by the scents and colours of the Mediterranean maquis, intensified by the bracing air of the famous "Bora wind".
The Karst is a land known for its geomorphological and natural peculiarities, a paradise for botanists, geologists and tourists.
How to reach us
By car
Da Trieste-Opicina: dopo l'obelisco, alla rotonda, prendere la prima uscita. Dopo 800 metri girare a sinistra in via di Conconello prima della Casa Cantoniera. L'ingresso è sulla sinistra dopo circa 50 metri.
Da Prosecco: alla rotonda sulla SP35 prendere la seconda uscita, dopo circa 800 metri girare a sinistra in via di Conconello prima della Casa Cantoniera.
Autostrada: uscire a Trebiciano/Opicina, svoltare a sinistra sulla SP1 verso Opicina, poi a sinistra verso Trieste/Capodistria e subito a destra verso Opicina/Trieste sulla SP35. Dopo la Casa Cantoniera imboccare a destra via di Conconello.
By tram

Il servizio tram Linea 2 collega il centro di Trieste con Opicina in circa 15 minuti.
By bus
Linea 4: 2 corse dedicate a Civiform al mattino e 2 nel pomeriggio (adiacente fermata ex SS202). Nel resto della giornata è possibile usufruire della fermata dal centro a Opicina (10 minuti a piedi da Civiform).
La linea collega in 20 min. Trieste - Piazza Oberdan a Villa Opicina (corse ogni 20 minuti).
